Policies & Services Interlibrary Meeting Room Public Computers Tours Downloads Remote Access Interlibrary loan is a service available to patrons of the Dickson County Public Library. If a book is not available at our library, the staff will attempt to locate it and borrow it from another library.
The Janet Harris Community Room is located at the library and may be used by community groups on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is no charge for nonprofit Dickson County groups, and the room may be reserved for a regular meeting time for a twelve month period. Call the Library at 446-8293 for reservations.
The Dickson County Public Library has 12 public access computer stations. All are equipped Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and others) and have internet access. The computers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a two hour per day limit. Wireless access is also available in the adult section of the Library. Any group that would like a guided tour of the Library may call and schedule one. We welcome visitors.
R.E.A.D.S. (Regional E-book & Audiobook Download System) is available to all patrons of the Dickson County Public Library. Go to the R.E.A.D.S. website (http://reads.lib.overdrive.com) and, using your library card barcode, register for the service, and download the program which enables you to use it. You may then download music, audio books, and e-books. The material can be used for a two week period.
Remote Access to Heritage Quest and American Genealogy Bank he Heritage Quest database for genealogical research can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection by entering your library barcode number. |
