Location HOURS OF OPERATION The Library offers twelve computer stations for public use, as well as wireless access. Patrons may use up to two hours of time in the computer room. Wireless access is restricted to adult areas of the library, which include five study carrels and the Local History & Genealogy Department. A comfortable reading room is provided, with more than 100 magazines for browsing, as well as The Dickson Herald, The Tennessean, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and The Sunday New York Times. Library cards are free to Dickson County residents or residents holding valid cards from counties that participate in the Tennessee Library Card program. Other out-of-county residents are charged a $10 fee. |

The Mission of the Dickson County Public Library is to enhance the quality of life for our community by providing open, equal, and free access to information, life-long learning, knowledge, and ideas. To fulfill this mission we will provide library materials, programs, information, and technology to support a wide range of community and individual interests. We will provide skilled, dedicated and responsive staff to meet the needs of library users and ensure that library service is convenient to all participating communities. The library will provide service in attractive, welcoming and comfortable facilities and offer training, guidance, and instruction to help library users navigate the information environment. The Library is committed to provide the citizens of Dickson County engaged in independent learning access to materials and services needed in the pursuit of their personal educational goals. |
