If you find you need help finding books/information, trying to figure out where to start your research, or anything else, Ask a Librarian!

Here are the different ways you can contact a Librarian:

If the library is closed, or you'd rather try some stuff yourself first, our web site is also packed with guides & tutorials to help you...though we know they're not always easy to find. (We're working on fixing that...feedback is welcome!) The best places to start:

  • Research Guides - find guides for various subjects
  • Find Information On - find quick lists of the best places to start researching countries, industries, companies, finance related topics, history related topics, and a *lot* more.

The Mission of the Dickson County Public Library is to enhance the quality of life for our community by providing open, equal, and free access to information, life-long learning, knowledge, and ideas.

To fulfill this mission we will provide library materials, programs, information, and technology to support a wide range of community and individual interests. We will provide skilled, dedicated and responsive staff to meet the needs of library users and ensure that library service is convenient to all participating communities. The library will provide service in attractive, welcoming and comfortable facilities and offer training, guidance, and instruction to help library users navigate the information environment.

The Library is committed to provide the citizens of Dickson County engaged in independent learning access to materials and services needed in the pursuit of their personal educational goals.
